Operation
Pre-shift checks
Functional test of the Safety Guard stat-
ic warning unit
NOTE
The functional test must be completed regard-
less of the industrial truck component configu-
ration. When using the Safety Guard commu-
nication unit, perform the following steps as
well.
The functional test checks the warning zones
that have been set and any responses that
have been set on the industrial truck.
 Switch on the industrial truck.
The display unit switches on.
 Check the operational readiness of the stat-
ic warning unit.
The "operating status" LED must flash green.
 Drive the industrial truck to the warning
zone. During this process, the driver moni-
tors the display unit and any responses that
have been set on the industrial truck. A sec-
ond person monitors the static warning unit.
Fault messages and irregularities on the dis-
play unit or the static warning unit during the
test are not permitted.
 If necessary, have the warning zones and
the truck settings set up again by the serv-
ice partner.
