5.4 SETTING UP
Turn the switch on the base of the machine putting it in "ON" position. The
display and Led lights turned on.
If the boiler's water does not fill (automatically) to its minimum value, the
keypad will flash and the machine must be turned off. After that, turn on the
machine again on the switch.
When the water in the boiler reaches the correct level, the resistance will be
automatically activated in order to heat the water to the optimum pre-pro-
grammed operating temperature (by default 117 °C)
Wait for the machine to reach working temperature, open the steam tap for
a few seconds and close it again.
The boiler pressure can be adjusted in the display settings ("correct opera-
ting values").
Make a coffee extraction and check the pressure gauge of the pump which
should be 9 bar.
It is possible to adjust the pump pressure by acting on the screw located on
the pump bypass. (see "operating values")
5.5 IDEAL GROUP WORKING VALUES
Pump Pressure: 9 bar
Pressure may be confirmed in the
manometer'supper scale;
Pressure may be adjusted by turning the pump's
by-pass screw (turning it clockwise will increase pressure).
Safety valve opening pressure: 1,5 bar
Expansion valve opening pressure: 11 bar (approximately)
Espresso coffee extraction temperature: 85/92°
Temperature varies depending on the type of coffee mixture used.
Temperature may be measured by using a precision thermometer during ex-
traction.
It is possible to decrease temperature by tuning the pressure switch.
5.6 ADJUSTING THE DOSE
The quantity of extracted coffee is controlled by flowmeters.
The control keyboard buttons can be used to adjust the dosages of the diffe-
rent kinds of coffee.
