9. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE REGENERATION OF THE WATER PURIFIER

Important:
Regeneration must be done every 15 days in case of a daily coffee consumption
between 1 and 2 kg. If consumption is higher, regeneration must be done in a
weekly basis.
Carefully follow the instructions for regenerating the purifi er:
1.
Place a container with at least 2 litres capacity under tube E. Turn handles C and
D from left to right. (Picture 9.1);
2.
Remove cover by releasing knob G (Picture 8.1) and put 1 kg of salt (ordinary
kitchen salt) in the 8 litres purifi er and 2 kg in the 12 litres purifi er. Put cover
back in place and turn handle C from right to left (Picture 8.2) so that salt water
fl ows through tube F. When water becomes sweet, turn handle D from right to
left again (Picture 8.3).
Attention: This regeneration operation is extremely important!
If the purifi er resins are not regenerated, the consequence will be limestone depo-
sits formation in the boiler, electrovalves and all hydraulic circuit. Those deposits
will infl uence the performance and reliability of the machine and can also cause
severe damage. Therefore it is necessary to execute maintenance procedure. This
kind of intervention is not covered by warranty and it is a responsibility of the
machine's owner.
