3. Inflation Instructions
Unfold the kayak. Use the rope to attach the seat (12),
back support (6), foot rest (10) and fixation straps (8). Atta-
chment of fixation straps – tie a simple knot on one end of
the supplied rope. Run the other end of the rope through
the holes in the back support (6) and in the bracket (7).
At the same time, run the rope through the opening in the
fixation strap (8) to the front. Fasten with a knot in the
bottom as well – see Detail A.
Inflate the air chambers in sequence: side tubes (1),
bottom (2), seat (12), back support (6) and foot rest (10).
Use a foot-pump or piston pump with valve adaptor for in-
flating - see Figure 2b (the adaptor is included in the glue
set). Check the condition of the valves before inflating. Set
the valves to the OFF position. For valve operation see
Figure 2.
Inflate the air chambers until they are firm but not com-
pletely stiff. The air chambers should provide a feeling
comparable to squeezing a ripe orange. You can check
the exact operating pressure by using a suitable pressure
gauge (optional accessory) – see Figure 2a. Tool for valve
installation - see Fig. 2c; optional equipment.
Remark
The K2 kayak can also be used as a single-seater thanks to
its symmetrical design. The conversion of the K2 to a single-
-seat kayak consists in swapping the front and rear ends. The
rear paddler's original position is turned 180°, i.e., the fi lling
valves (3,4) are now in the bow of the kayak - see Drawing B.
The cross tube closer to the centre of the kayak is used as the
back rest, and the other cross tube (near the fi lling valves) is
used as the foot rest.
Procedure for converting the two-seater to a single-seater:
1. Remove the front paddler's foot rest, one of the seats and
one pair of fi xation straps - you won't need these parts.
2. Choose the back rest and foot rest positions in the brac-
kets to suit your body height.
3. Attach the back and foot rests in the chosen positions. The
back rest valve has to face the rear end. Simultaneous-
ly with the back and foot rests, attach the fi xation straps.
Attach the broader ends with the lugs together with the
back rest so that the narrower ends face the foot rest.
Along with the foot rest, attach one pair of clasps stitched
onto the strap with the lug (18) - see Drawing C. Run the
loose narrower ends of the fi xation straps through the
clasps.
4. Insert the seat in the bottom of the kayak, right in front of
the back rest.
ATTENTION
The maximum operational pressure in air chambers
is 0.025 MPa. If the ambient temperature increases
(e.g. owing to sunlight), the pressure in the air chambers
of the canoe can rise rapidly. We recommend releasing
some air from all air chambers of the canoe after pu-
lling it out of the water. This will prevent possible de-
struction of the air chambers. However, do not forget
to continuously check air pressure in the chambers af-
terwards, too. A corresponding reduction in operating
pressure is up to 20 % within 24 hours.

ATTENTION
When using the boat, always seal the valves with their
valve caps. This will keep dirt out of the valves. Dirt
cancause leaky valve seals.

4. Using the Boat

The K1 single-seat infl atable kayak with self-draining fl oor is
designed for recreational use and water tourism.
Whenever the kayak is used on waterways, Waterway Tra-
ffi c Rules have to be observed. Operation of the Safari infl a-
table kayak does not require any licence provided that the
people who operate the kayak know the techniques of small
boat operation within the scope necessary for its operation,
as well as the valid navigation rules of the particular country.
The person travelling in the kayak has to sit in their seat and
wear a fl otation life-jacket.
Kayak is designed for pleasure and sports kayaking in small
lakes, rivers and channels in such conditions where wind
may amount to 4 on Beaufort scale and nominal height of wa-
ves is up to 0.5 m. Product is also suitable for white-water ka-
yaking up to WW4, for river tourism as well as for expeditions
carrying considerable luggage.
The benefi ts of this product are good stability, comfortable
handling, storage, ease of transport, and long service life.
Use two-blade kayak paddles approximately 210 cm long to
propel the craft. The kayak is driven by a single person padd-
ling, sitting on an infl atable cushion, with legs slightly bent and
feet touching the foot rest. The rider's back is in contact with
the back support. The supports are adjustable lengthwise to
accommodate the paddler's height. When kayaking in white
water, the feet are also secured with the fi xation straps. In the
event of capsizing, the design of the fi xation system allows
the crew to abandon the kayak quickly and safely. Stretching
the bent legs and subsequent pressing the knees together
releases the legs from the fi xation. The paddler must be wea-
ring a life jacket.
ATTENTION
Prior to using the kayak, check whether it is necessary
to observe any special regulations, restrictions or rules
connected with the river, surface of water or area in
which you intend to use it.
The boat is not designed to be towed behind motorboats,
nor may it be towed otherwise, dragged or in any way
subjected to unusual stress. Sharp edged or pointed
items carried in the kayak should be safely wrapped.
Place all valuables into a waterproof container and fas-
ten it to the kayak.
Over time, sunlight adversely aff ects the rubber coating
of the boat; therefore, it is advisable to store the boat in
shade each time after use.
CAUTION:
• Releasing the fi xation straps and leaving the boat after
capsize must be well trained in calm water!
• On large surfaces of water (seas or lakes), pay attention
to water currents and off -shore breezes. Currents
and breezes may make it impossible to return to shore.
• The kayak should not be used in challenging condi-
tions, such as in decreased visibility (night, fog or
rain).
