• Now pull the stocking up evenly to just
below the knee. The tension you exert
determines the length of the stocking.
Note: Pull mediven ulcer plus up over
the topband of mediven ulcer so that
the two topbands do not overlap.
• Finally check that the stocking fits
correctly and has not developed any
wrinkles.
Putting on mediven ulcer plus

• Gather up the mediven ulcer or turn it
inside out down to the ankle.
• Pull the foot section up over the foot
until the size mark is positioned over
the ankle and the dorsum of the foot.
• Now, making sure not to twist it, and
avoiding wrinkles, pull the stocking up
over the ankle and calf and up to just
below the knee. The tension you exert
determines the length of the stocking.

Indications
To promote venous return for the
treatment of venous leg ulcers (ulcus
cruris venosum).
Contraindications
The mediven ulcer kit is contraindicated
in:
arterial circulation disorders, right heart
failure, massive oedema of the legs,
pulmonary oedema, pre-existing
gangrenous damage, neuropathy,
intolerability of the stocking fabric.
Important notes:
• The stocking material must not come
into direct contact with the wound.
• The use of modern wound dressings is
recommended for wound care.
• Only fit one stocking during long
periods of immobility.
