7.5 Charging and discharging the rechargeable battery

Only rechargeable batteries that RK Rose+Krieger GmbH has supplied for this controller may be
used.
The integrated charging electronic has been matched to the rechargeable battery included in the
scope of supply. The charging procedure starts automatically if the controller is operated on the
network. The maximum charge time with a completely discharged rechargeable battery is about
16 hours. A red LED near to the rechargeable battery connection indicates the charge state of the
rechargeable battery. You can obtain more information on the status LED in chapter 7.10.
An acoustic alarm warns the user against the complete discharging of the rechargeable battery
when in rechargeable battery mode. If the battery has been completely discharged it should be
recharged without delay to prevent damage to the rechargeable battery. Lowering the energy on
the controller protects the rechargeable battery against a rapid deep discharge. The rechargeable
battery must be re-charged within a week.
