7 Care and maintenance

7.1 Care of the fastening tool

1.
Remove plastic debris from the fastener guide at
regular intervals.
2.
Never operate the fastening tool when the cooling
air slots are blocked. Clean the ventilation slots
carefully using a dry brush.

Do not allow foreign objects to enter the interior of
the fastening tool.
4.
Clean the outside of the fastening tool at regular
intervals with a slightly damp cleaning cloth.
5.
Do not use a spray, steam pressure cleaning equip-
ment or running water for cleaning.
6.
Always keep the grip surfaces of the fastening tool
free from oil and grease.
7.
Do not use cleaning agents which contain silicone.

8 Troubleshooting

If a fault is not listed or if the recommended measures fail to remedy the fault, please contact Hilti Service.
Fault
The spring element is not ten-
sioned and no status indicator
lights.
The spring element is not ten-
sioned, the status indicator
blinks green and 1 of the bat-
tery charge status LEDs blinks.
The spring element is not re-
tensioned, the status indicator
blinks green and 4 of the bat-
tery charge status LEDs blink.

7.2 Care of Li-ion batteries
Store the batteries in a cool, dry place.
Charge the batteries using only the Hilti chargers ap-
proved for use with Li-ion batteries.
In order to achieve maximum battery lifetime, replace the
discharged battery with a fully charged battery as soon
as you notice a clear drop in battery performance.
