How to install
(1) Loosen the tension lever in the direction indicated in
the fi gure. (Fig. 16)

(2) Being careful of the direction of revolution and the
facing of the band saw blade (see fi gure), place the
band saw blade in Guide roller, installing the band
saw blade until it comes into contact with the Band
saw blade back ball bearing support.
(3) Holding the band saw blade in place so it doesn't
come loose, seat the band saw blade in Blade pulley.

(4) Holding the band saw blade in place, turn the Tension
lever in the direction for tightening and secure the
band saw blade. (Fig. 18)
At this point, make sure that the blade of the band saw
blade is not protruding from the edges of Blade pulley.
At this point, rotate Blade pulley (A) in the revolving
direction with your hands and make sure the band saw
blade does not come loose.

NOTE
Minimize warm-up cutting with the band saw blade.
Warm-up cutting shortens the lifespan of the band
saw blade.
How to remove (Fig. 19)
(1) Loosen the tension lever in the direction indicated in
the fi gure. (Fig. 16)
(2) Remove the band saw blade fi rst from pulley guard (C)
(
in the fi gure), then from blade pulley (A) and blade
pulley (B), and lastly from the guide rollers section (
in the fi gure) to remove it completely.

CAUTION: on lithium-ion battery
To extend the lifetime, the lithium-ion battery
equips with the protection function to stop the
output. Therefore, if the tool is overloaded, the
motor may stop. However, this is not the trouble
but the result of protection function. In this case,
release the switch of tool and eliminate the
causes of overloading.
8. Inspection before operation
WARNING
Check the following items before you use the
unit. Before taking steps (1) and (2), you must
turn off the switch and remove the battery from
the main tool unit to perform inspection.
(1) Make sure that the switch is turned off . (See "5. Switch
operation" on page 17.)
(2) Before use, be sure to confi rm that the band saw
blade is a regular product, and free from any chipping,
cracks, or deformation.
Check that the band saw blade is installed correctly.
(3) Install the battery. (Fig. 7)
(4) Check the switch lock action. (See "5. Switch operation"
on page 17.)
(5) Run the trial operation.
Ensure surrounding safety before starting operation,
then idle the unit to make sure that no anomalies are
found in unit body vibration and the band saw blade.
