Read the warnings contained in this booklet carefully as they provide important safety instructions for
the installation, use and maintenance of the appliance.
THIS APPLIANCE COMPLIES WITH DIRECTIVE 2004/108EC ON ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBI-
LITY AND THE LOW VOLTAGE DIRECTIVE 2006/95/EC.
• After removing the packaging, make sure the product is complete. In the event of visible damage,
do not use and return to the manufacturer or dealer.
• Do not leave the plastic bag or other parts of the packaging within reach of children.
• For safety reasons, the electric blanket and control unit must not be opened up or taken apart.
• Use the electric blanket with the control unit provided only (control KB51 for COP410, COP420,
COP710 and COP720, control NT63 for COP430E and COP730E).
• Before connecting the appliance, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage of
the appliance.
• Do not use the electric blanket folded or creased.
• he appliance has been designed and made to operate as an underblanket (positioned on the mat-
tress, under the bottom sheet). All other uses are improper and therefore dangerous.
• Disconnect the control unit before washing.
• Do not use if the electric blanket or its components are damp or wet.
• Do not wring or twist.
• Do not insert pins or similar into the electric blanket.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains socket when not in use.
• Never pull the power cable or control unit to unplug the blanket from the mains socket.
• The appliance should not be used on adjustable beds as the blanket or cable could be trapped or
snagged.
• Use the appliance on a mattress only. Do not use on rigid surfaces (without a mattress, on a bed
base, slats, floor, etc).
• Unplug from the power socket before lying down.
• Do not use for invalids, children, people insensitive to heat, or wearers of pacemakers or other
battery-powered medical devices.
• This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
• Prolonged use at a high temperature could cause skin burns.
• Allow to cool down before putting away.
• Do not crease and/or deform the electric blanket by placing objects on top of it while stored.
• In the event of faults or malfunction, unplug from the mains socket. Do not tamper and contact the
manufacturer's authorised service centre immediately.
• If the safety fuse blows, the appliance must be returned to the manufacturer or its representative.
• Examine the appliance frequently for any signs of wear or deterioration.
If you find such signs or the appliance has been used incorrectly, return it to the supplier before
using it again.
