CAUTION
Using orthosis without padding
Risk of local pressure points, superficial injuries or skin irritation due to skin contact with rigid or
sharp orthosis components
Only use the orthosis with undamaged padding.
CAUTION
Improper handling
Risk of falling due to accidentally opening or engaging the lock
Avoid accidentally opening or engaging the lock.
Instruct the patient in the correct handling of the orthosis joints.
NOTICE
Contact with saltwater or water containing chlorine/soap, fresh water or abrasive sub­
stances (e.g. sand)
Damage and premature product wear
Following any contact with the substances identified above, promptly clean the product in
accordance with the section "Cleaning".
NOTICE
Contact with oils, salves, lotions or other products that contain oils or acids
Insufficient stabilisation due to loss of material functionality
Do not expose the product to oils, salves, lotions or other products that contain oils or acids.
NOTICE
Exposure of the product to unsuitable environmental conditions
Damage, brittleness or destruction due to improper handling
Avoid storage in condensing ambient humidity.
Avoid contact with abrasive substances (e.g. sand, dust).
Do not expose the product to temperatures below -10 °C (14 °F) or above +60 °C (140 °F)
(e.g. sauna, excessive sunlight, drying on a radiator).
5 Use
5.1 Application

To apply the orthosis, the user must be sitting down.
>
The orthosis is in Free Walk mode (see Page 10).
1) Slide the foot component of the orthosis into the shoe (see fig. 1).
2) Put on the shoe (see fig. 2).
3) Slide the orthosis over the leg from the front.
4) If required, adjust the width of the quick-release closures. Adjust the hook-and-loop closures
to do so.
5) Fasten the quick-release closures (see fig. 3).
5.2 Removal

To remove the orthosis, the user must be sitting down.

The orthosis is in Free Walk mode (see Page 10).
1) Open the quick-release closures on the orthosis and pull it forward off the leg.
