FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:
General: All holes are already present in the vehicle. On some models,
these holes have been covered with tape and painted the same colour as
the vehicle. Remove the tape, as shown in fig. 3.
In order to improve engine cooling, the cover should be removed from the
grill. To do this, consult the instruction booklet.
1. Remove the spare wheel. For the Expert - Jumpy - Scudo produced
from December 2000 (with plastic bumper), you must cut the bumper
according fig.4
Synthetic bumper: In all cases, a section of the lower part of the rear
bumper should be cut out, to the dimensions shown in fig. 1, to allow
space for the ball coupling. Metal bumper: No cutting out. Remove the
two nuts from the bumper shown in fig. 2. Fit cage nuts A (6x) in the
chassis longitudinal and cross beams respectively.
2. Put the tow bar in place (without brackets B and C) and attach it using
four M10x30 bolts with spring and flat washers at points D and E. If
necessary the play should be damped with filler plates H and/or I as
shown in the sketch. Fit brackets B and C (as shown in the sketch) and
attach them using four M10x35 bolts with spring and flat washers and
nuts. Fasten two M10x30 bolts with spring and plain washers at points
G. The ball hitch is fitted to the towbar with two M12x70/26 bolts,
together with flat washers and self-locking nuts, as shown in the sketch.
Tighten all nuts and bolts to the values shown in the table.

NOTE:
* The dealer should be consulted for possible necessary adjustment(s)
"of the vehicle".
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting
points.
* All bolts are quality 8.8 - nuts 8. or when mentioned in fitting instructions
10.9 / 10.
* Don't forget the spring- and plain washers.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and ball
hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* It is recommendable to retighten all fixing bolts and nuts after the towbar
has been in use for some 1000 km/600 miles.
* Do not drill through brake-or fuellines.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
