The torque pin must be screwed onto an M4 threaded pin, property class 8.8, and tightened
with a recommended torque of 3 Nm (assumed coefficient of friction 0.14). The screw connec-
tion must be secured against loosening. The torque pin must be mounted to comply with the
Machinery Directive guidelines in force, whereby the operator, operating company or installation
company, which is installing the encoder, must ensure that the fastening screw thread complies
with the safety requirements in force.
