The measurement found between the shafts of the
PTO must be divided into 1.3. The value of this
division will indicate measure A, mark the cardan
shaft with measure A and cut off the surplus, as
indicated in the image (Fig. 3).
In the marked position, cut off the male and female
gimbal with a saw blade with steel cutting blade with
24 teeth or cutting disc, using protective equipment.
After completing the total cut, mark the plastic
protection of the male and female gimbal and
remove 3 centimeters only from the plastic
protection, cutting with a saw, leaving the cardan
shaft with the tip exposed, as indicated in the image
(Fig. 3).
After performing the cutting procedure, remove the
burr from the cut parts, discard the cut material,
support the machine that is attached to the tractor
on the ground, so you will have space for mounting
the cardan shaft.
Secure protection retention chains. The ideal
operation condition is obtained with the chain
placed radial to transmission. Adjust the length
of chains to allow transmission to be articulated
under any working, transportation and maneuvering
condition. Make sure chains do not entangle around
the transmission due to excessive length.
Before starting work, check the rotation of the PTO,
the rotation should not be greater than 540 rpm,
check the inclination and if the machine is resting
on the ground to avoid damage to the shredder and
cause loss of warranty.
Notes:
The pieces cut from the solid and tubular
parts of the cardan shall have the same length.
Do not stop the rotation of the PTO of the
tractor suddenly, except for safety reasons.
The sudden stop can damage the transmission
system of the equipment.
Do not use the chains to transport or support
cardan transmission when work is done. Use
proper support.
Fit the male and female parts of the cardan
shaft and fit the female side to the PTO shaft
of the TR 500T and then fit the male cardan
shaft to the PTO shaft of the tractor until the
click is heard, showing that it is in the correct
coupling position on both sides.
Notes:
After mounting and adjusting the protection
currents, move the hydraulic inclination of
the tractor and check the clearance between
the male and female gimbal by placing the
machine at the recommended inclination of
a maximum of 15°.
Notice that as the machine moves the
cardan shaft male and female approach to
the point of leaning, if this happens, turn off
the power take off immediately. Remove the
male and female cardan shaft and re-cut, in
order to leave a minimum clearance of 1 to
2 centimeters between the cardan shaft tips.
It is not recommended to work with the male
and female cardan shafts without clearance;
this can damage the tractor and shredder
PTO shafts. To perform maneuvers, remove
one of the cardan shaft parts.
Measurement of the cut.
Dividing the measurement found between shafts by 1.3 will
provide the measure to cut the cardan shaft.
