When it is at its maximum opening, the plastic
safety protections and the shafts must be
overlapped by at least 1/3 of its length (LT).
When in its maximum closing position, the
minimum distance allowed is 1 to 2 cm.
Keep terminals aligned.
Check TDP minimum and maximum length
required to couple the machine/ tractor. In the
event of problems, get in touch with TRAPP nearest
Technical Assistant.
Make sure the engine is stocked with regular
gasoline in the tank and oil in the crankcase.
Check if the belt is not tensioned, place the on /
off button in the "ON" position and open the fuel
valve. Operate the choke lever, accelerate the motor
slightly and pull the lever of the retractable starter
Check belt tension often. The belt is under the
side protection. Remove the protection screws to
check the tension of the belt. If necessary, adjust it
or replace it with a new one. When the tension of
the belt is very weak, it compromises its life and the
operation of the machine
In the TR 500E and TR 500G shredders, the tension
of the belt is made through the tensioning lever
under the protection.
If the spring is tired, replace or tighten the tensioned
screw.
To start the motor, check the instructions on page
65 about pulling the belt.
Never operate the shredder without the belt
protection.

Belt Adjustment
These operations must be made on adequate
floor only. Stop tractor, disconnect from TDP
and use parking brakes. If necessary, lift the
machine from the ground. For safety reasons,
place it on a support to prevent accidents.
until the motor runs. The model with 16 HP motor
has electric start, in which case it is not necessary to
pull the retractable cable.
Once the motor turns on and warms up, return the
choke lever to the initial position, accelerate the
motor until it reaches the ideal working rotation and
have the belts tensioned as indicated on page 65.
Adjustment on the belts
With the time of use of the Crusher, it can cause a
greater slack in the belts, losing productivity and
affecting the operator's safety. If this happens, an
adjustment should be made to the clearance in the
belts. This clearance should be ± 10 mm, as shown
in Figure 4, and should always be checked before
each start of work.

If there is a need to adjust this clearance, follow the
