not remain in a same position for long periods;
often change working position.
Do not use ladders or stand precariously, and
GB
keep the work area clean and tidy to allow a swift
exit if necessary. Never climb into trees with the
pruner; if extra height is needed, a hydraulically
operated overhead access platform must be used.
WARNING – Pay attention when working
near electric lines. Falling branches could
cause short circuit. Never approach the tool at
less than 10 metres from electric lines.
Flush-cutting - To avoid tearing the bark,
kickbacks or bar pinching, always start by
performing a relieving cut on the underside of
the branch. Perform the cross-cut.
WARNING: If the chain remains stuck,
switch off the engine before freeing it.
Particular cuts
The pole pruner permits:
- pruning of branches that are overhanging
obstacles such as rivers, lakes etc.
- pruning of branches from high rise buckets.
Shaft adjustment
WARNING – Shaft adjustment operations
must be carried out while engine is switched
off and chain cover fitted.
Unloose locking ring nut clockwise. Adjust
shaft to desired height. Tighten locking ring nut
anticlockwise.
Cutting tool angular adjustment
WARNING – The cutting tool angular
adjustment must be carried out while engine
is switched off and chain cover fitted.
Cutting tool's angulations can be modified from
0° to 90° unscrewing screw (24, Fig.1). There are
three intermediate positions between 0° and 90°
(22° - 45° - 67°) which block the cutting tool.
After selecting the angle tighten the screw (24).

WARNING – Be aware to block the cutting
device in one of the five positions; don't let it
in an intermediate position.
