10 Repair

The sensor may only be repaired at the company. For any repairs, please
return the sensor in its original packaging. Prepare the sensor (as described
in Chapter 11 "Decommissioning")!

11 Decommissioning

CAUTION
• Before removing the sensor, switch off downstream control devices
• Depressurise the system before removing the sensor!
• Read the safety notes of the system operator before opening the
• Read the sub-chapter "Installing the sensor" of Chapter 5 "Assembly"

Electrolyte
IMPORTANT
Protect yourself and your clothing against contact with the electrolyte
(acid!) by suitable protective equipment! Chemical burns or discolour-
ations may result! Rinse immediately with a lot of cold water.
The electrolyte can be disposed of in a drain; flush down with a lot of cold
water.

or switch to manual operation. In case of sensor failure, an incorrect
measuring value may be present at the input of the control/measur-
ing unit and result in an uncontrolled metering in a control circuit.
For this purpose, close the shut-off valves upstream and downstream
of the fitting.
When removing the sensor, liquid might leak if the system is
pressurised.
In case of need, first disconnect the control unit from the mains
supply!
If liquid leaks from the in-line probe (DGM/DLG III), close the factory-
fitted shut-off valves at the inlets and outlets.
DGM/DLG III!
and the operating instructions of the in-line probe!
disconnect the sensor electrically (see Chapter 6 "Installation")
depressurise the in-line probe
loosen the clamping screws
slowly pull out the sensor from the in-line probe
open the diaphragm cap above a wash basin or similar and empty
rinse off the electrolyte with a lot of water.
rinse the diaphragm cap and the electrodes with clean water and let dry in
a dust-free environment
loosely screw on the diaphragm cap to protect the electrodes
attach the protective diaphragm cover to protect the diaphragm cap.
