Installation instructions:

1.) Release the luggage compartment panelling at rear and fold forward.
2.) Remove spare wheel and jack.
3.) Remove rear bumper and bumper reinforcement (metal component).
4.) Detach rear end silencer and remove heat shield.
5.) Release tank strap at rear right side (at "e"). Remove intermediate plate. It is no longer required
after installation of the towing hitch.
6.) 4 holes of dia. 25 (at "a" (2), "c" and "d") must be drilled in floor panel on left side, and 2 holes of
dia. 25 (at "b") must be drilled on right side. Punch marks are provided.
Holes of dia. 12 are provided in the vehicle frame. 1 hole of dia. 12 must be drilled in the rear end
panel (for cable). Punch mark is provided.
7.) Attach enclosed edge protection profile on right side section (see illustration).
8.) Fit fishplates "2" and "3" from above. Position towing hitch "1" under vehicle.
bolts M10x100 on left side (at "a" and "d"), hexagon bolt M10x110 (at "e"), and on right side
hexagon bolts M10x85 (at "b"), together with washers and hexagon nuts. Also screw on fishplate
"4" at front fixture point of left side section (at "e").
9.) Reinstall tank strap with original bolt at "c".
10.) The bumper must be cut in central area at designated point. Separate bumper reinforcement (metal
component) from bumper. The bumper section cut open from both sides must be folded into the
bumper and clamped to the fishplates located in the central area. Install bumper reinforcement on
bumper.
11.) Align towing bracket and tighten all bolts evenly.
Tightening torque:
12.) Secure heat shield, attach rear end silencer and secure bumper reinforcement and bumper.
13.) Reinstall spare wheel and jack.
Note: Please contact your Opel dealer for information on any necessary changes to the vehicle (cooling
system, suspension) in connection with installation of the towing bracket.
M 10 Strength class: 8.8 40 Nm.
Insert hexagon
