6 Troubleshooting and repairs

Malfunction
The device does not start
Air output is insufficient
Do not take any further action; contact customer service instead.
7 Maintenance
DANGER
Live electrical supply line and device components!
Risk of deadly electric shock in case of contact.
Before performing any work on the device:
1. Unplug the power cord. With direct connection: Switch off the circuit breaker or unscrew the
fuse.
2. Secure against accidental switching on.
Cleaning the air intake grille
CAUTION
The device can become detached from the mounting plate!
Risk of injury caused by the device falling down.
The locking screw for the air intake grille also serves to fasten the device to the mounting plate.
If the locking screw is not properly tightened:
1. Ensure that the device cannot be accidentally pushed off of the mounting plate.
1. Unscrew the locking screw on the air intake grille on the underside of the device.
2. Pull the air intake grille downwards out of the device.
3. Remove any lint and adhering dirt from the air intake grille.
4. Put one hand on the top of the device to hold it and insert the air intake grille into the device from the
bottom.
5. Fasten the air intake grille and the device with the locking screw.
Cleaning the device
Do not clean the device with a high-pressure cleaner. Only use a damp cloth and mild cleaning agents to clean
the device. Acids, acetone or solvents can damage the housing or device components.
Cause
Sensor is soiled
Overheating due to blocked outlet
opening
Only for TH-C1/TB-C1:
The thermal fuse was triggered
Only for TB-C1:
The magnet in the handpiece is
missing
Air intake grille is soiled
Remedy
Remove dirt from the sensor and
wipe with damp cloth
Clean out the outlet opening,
allow the device to cool down
Have the thermal fuse replaced by
customer service
Insert the magnet into the
handpiece
Clean the air intake grille
