NOTES
- If a function is turned on (except for the spotlights and/or the
time) when energy savings is present, energy savings is sus-
pended, and the symbol on the display flashes. It restarts au-
tomatically 40 minutes after the function that was started is
turned off.
- The minimum temperature that characterizes energy savings
mode may never be less than 15 °C (59 °F) (minimum main-
tenance temperature).
- If there is a power outage, the set data are stored in memo-
ry. However, when the power comes back on, the function
does not resume. Rather, it is turned on at the set start time.
In addition to the parameters "I1x" (temperature unit of
measure) and "I2x" (limitation of electrical energy con-
sumption), there is also parameter "I3x", the "x" default
value of which is 0. Do not change the setting; otherwise,
the electric heater will be turned off.

WATER FILTERING
Water filtering is essential to keep the water clean and clear, and
to get rid of suspended particles. This cleaning is provided by the
filtering pump and the cartridge filter(s) located under the skim-
mer (see the chapter "Maintenance of the cartridge filter").
The MaxiJacuzzi
®
is also equipped with a special kind of fil-
tering called "Instant Clear". This is instantaneous filtering,
which differs from the normal cycle due to its brief, intense du-
ration.
General Information
Filtering occurs during a cycle that is run every 12 hours. This
cycle consists of 2 phases. Depending on the configuration of
electrical consumption limitation (see related chapter), they are
divided as follows:
• Start
(with limitation of electrical consumption)
The hydromassage pumps are turned on for 1 minute each, one
at a time. In this phase, the blower runs continuously.
(without limitation of electrical consumption)
The hydromassage pumps and the blower are activated at the
same time for 1 minute.
• Continuation
This phase is the same for both configurations. The filtering
pump and the ozonator run for the time remaining in the cycle.
Setting the filtering cycles
To set the filtering cycle:
Press the "Filter"
Fdx, where "x" indicates the duration in hours.
key. The display shows the message
Use the "Up"
and/or "Down"
sired duration. This may be from a minimum of 0 to a maximum
of 12 hours, which corresponds to constant filtering, since
the cycle runs every 12 hours in any case.
Press the "Filter"
ue. You will then go to the start time (Fs).
First set the hour and confirm with the "Filter" key. Then set
the minutes, and press the "Filter" key again to save the set val-
ues and exit programming.
When the function is on, the display will shown the respective
symbol.
NOTE: if there is a power outage, the set values will be main-
tained.
Suspending the filtering cycles
The filtering cycle may be suspended by the anti-freeze pro-
tection ("Smart Winter") or due to overheated water. Refer to the
respective chapters.
If the system is in standby mode (see related chapter), the fil-
tering pump stops and is restarted when the system is no longer
in standby mode.
If there is a power outage during a filtering cycle, or if it oc-
curs prior to the start of filtering and lasts after that time, the cy-
cle will not start when the power comes back on. Filtering will
be postponed until the next cycle, since the cycle is repeated
every 12 hours.
Overheating during filtering cycles
During the filtering cycle, if the water temperature exceeds
the set point by more than 1 °C (2 °F) (see the chapter "Set-
ting the water heating temperature") and it does not decrease
at least 1 °C (2 °F) in the following 3 hours, the filtering cycle
will be suspended.
Even if the water temperature is high (due to excessive sun-
light, for example), filtering is ensured for at least 3 hours.
Ozonator (ozone generator)
The ozone generator aids in oxidizing the organic substances
that get in the water, and therefore reduces the need for chemi-
cal products for water treatment.
The ozonator runs automatically and is contingent on the ac-
tivation of the filtering pump. It will be off if the hydromassage,
blower or even one spotlight is on. This is because there is prob-
ably a person in the tub. 10 minutes after the functions are shut
off, the ozonator begins operating again, provided a filtering cy-
cle is active.
Rapid filtering ("Instant Clear")
This is recommended after intensive use of the spa and/or is
associated with chemical treatment of the water, to favour the
dissolution of substances used for disinfection.
