USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
The engine will attempt to start alternately, the batteries 1 and 2 during a time of 6 to 15 seconds (time adjusted with micro switches
2 and 3 "Start Time" marked on the back of the plate) until you get boot , where 1 is the failed attempt for the last 5 seconds and
try to boot resting on the battery 2, in case the first try has failed during 5 seconds it will try to couple with battery 2, in which case
the aforementioned has failed, the operation repeats itself until a complete cycle of 6 attempts.
The engine will start when it moves from a previously set rpm placed on the back of the plate identified by "minimum R.P.M.", and
in the case the probe's speed doesn't read correctly, with detected voltage at the alternator (if equipped with), there must be a 3
second wait in order to disconnect the starting engine.
None of the alarms will cause the main engine to stop. The only way to stop the main pump is to manually push
the corresponding stop button if there is none active (The stop button for the main pump will only work if the
main active pump's LED lights are off, or if the level of the priming load is above 40% of its entire capacity.)
When in position of simulation: the engine attempts to start with the choke connected during 4 to 15 seconds (time adjusted with the
micro-switches marked 2 and 3, "Start time" placed on the back of the plate) doing alternative attempts with the batteries 1 and 2,
hence a total of 6 attempts in a way that 3 attempts will be made with each battery. Once the cycle has ended, the electromagnet
which acts on the choke is disconnected after 10 seconds.
Emergency start button:
For Cepreven and UNE EN-12845 only: The panel is equipped with two mushroom type buttons of the same color, in a separate
box, used for starting the engine with the two batteries regardless of the main pump selector's position, just in case of an emergency
and without equipment.
For Une only: The command panel features 1 mushroom type button for the same function mentioned previously.
Emergency stop button: The command panel is equipped with a red mushroom type button that stops the motor when used for
emergencies and without the equipment.
These two switches work separately from the electronic board.
10. ADJUSTING THE WORKING PRESSURE.
The SACI PUMPS Fire Fighting pump equipments, include the following pressure switches: 1 Main pump kickoff pressure switch for
UNE 23-500:2012 and 2 reversed pressure switches for each main CEPREVEN and UNE EN-12845.
(THE MAIN PUMPS SHUTDOWN IS ALWAYS DONE MANUALLY).
1 Pressure switch to signal the visual and audible alarm when there is kickoff failure or low pressure in each main pump.
1 Pressure switch for Kickoff and Shut-down of the Jockey pump.
1
2
To each pressure switch the following adjustments can be made:
1 Off pressure. Presión a la que para la bomba al que esta asociado este presostato
(no para bombas principales).
2 Differential pressure (∆). The differential pressure helps adjusting the
connection pressure: Connection pressure / Kickoff = Off pressure – Differential
pressure.
Pressure switch settings:
1 Off pressure: To increase turn the nut or the round piece clockwise (+sign). To
decrease turn the nut or round piece counterclockwise (-sign) (not for main pumps).
2 Differential pressure: To increase turn the nut counterclockwise (+sign). To
decrease turn the nut clockwise (-sign).
