CHARACTERISTICS AND INSTALLATION
BATTERY CHARGER, SBC SERIES
As a result of more than fifteen years experience in the nautical field, we have been able to develop the highly
innovative SBC battery chargers while maintaining the well-known high quality of the "Quick" products. Thanks to
the "Switch Mode" technology, we have considerably reduced the size and weight of the battery chargers. The
special features of these battery chargers allow quick and safe charging. Other important advantages of the SBC
battery chargers are: • fully protected against shorts circuits, overload and overheat • can be used as power
supplies without batteries • adapt to any type of generator • multiple outputs for charging several groups of
batteries (SBC 240).
INSTALLATION
BEFORE USING THE BATTERY CHARGER, CAREFULLY READ THIS USER'S MANUAL.
IN CASE OF DOUBTS, CONSULT YOUR NEAREST DEALER.
THE SBC BATTERY CHARGERS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED FOR PERMANENT INDOOR INSTALLATION.
THE PACKAGE CONTAINS: battery charger - warranty coupon - user's manual - cable terminals (to be used for
connection to the output terminals).
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION
Depending on the model of the charger, use the batteries and cables (on the output terminals) as specified in
the table below:

The cables connected to the output terminals should have a max. length of 4 m.
WARNING: the battery charger should be used only with rechargeable batteries (Lead/Liquid electrolyte or
Lead/Gel) sealed or not.

PLACE OF INSTALLATION

Install the SBC battery charger in a dry and ventilated
place as near as possible to the batteries to be charged.
Although they are of proven efficiency, the chargers
produce large amounts of heat therefore it is essential to
install them in a well ventilated area so as to ensure top
efficiency and trouble-free operation at all times.
Install the equipment in a vertical position with the
cooling fan turned downwards. The battery charger
(except for the base) should be at least 50 mm away
from walls or other obstructions.
