trol the headend. This should be filled in with
the telephone number which will allow the
remote connection with the headend, with
no blank spaces, commas or other charac-
ters between the numbers (if an extra num-
ber is needed to access an external line (0)
this number should also be entered). The
headend data can be modified at any time
by clicking on File-Headend data .
After all the headend data has been entered,
the program is ready to edit the devices that
make up the headend. Before adding any
device, the user must add a rack for this
device (a maximum of 10 devices per rack).
The first device that should be edited is the
Headend Control device since, as has alre-
ady been mentioned in section 4, there
should be at least un controlling device per
headend as this is the main element.
At this point you can continue adding the
devices that are need to complete the new
headend.

The Headend Control software numbers the
devices consecutively as they are added,
beginning with the address 1.
