User Manual
VERY IMPORTANT:
The addresses assigned via the Headend
Control software should coincide with the
real addresses that were programmed
into the headend devices that the user
wants to control.
Once the headend editing process is com-
plete, it can be saved by clicking on the
"Save Headend" icon or by using the main
menu "File-Save".
Start session
The "Start session" command begins the
communication between the PC and the
headend controller device. This communica-
tion can be carried out locally or remotely
(by marking the "Use modem" window). In
the second case, the telephone that has
been saved into the headend data will be
used. Before beginning the session, the user
should make sure that the configuration of
the PC port is correct. This can be changed
in
the
main
menu
"Configuration-
Communications" (figure 11).
The command "Start Session" requires a
password. The first time that a session is
started, the password is "Televes1". This
password remains the same until the user
changes it in the "Advanced" window that
appears when the user double clicks on the
headend controller element (figure 12).
Once that communication between the PC
and the headend controller has been esta-
blished, the devices of the physical headend
must be configured according to the confi-
guration that has been carried out using the
program on the PC. To do so, it is necessary
to press the "Send Configuration" button on
the main window of the program.

Once this has been carried out, the user
must check the configuration of the
COFDM-PAL, QPSK-PAL devices to make
sure that the correct program is selected
(see section 6.4.1.).
