6.6.- Dialogue windows of the different
elements
It is possible to carry out the following func-
tions using the management windows of the
respective modules:
Remote programming:
After selecting the desired parameters, use
the "Send configuration to the device" but-
ton to send these parameters to the actual
device (which is identified by the RS485
address).
Using the "Read device configuration" but-
ton, the parameters configured in a specific
module are loaded onto the PC program. It
is also possible to access the list of availa-
ble services in the selected transponder for
refs. 5054 COFDM-PAL and QPSK-PAL ref.
5079 and 5037. This list is stored in the
modules in the last scan that was carried
out by the unit.
In some transponders, the order of the servi-
ces and the number of services can vary,
therefore if the user wants to change the
service programmed in a QPSK-PAL or in a
COFDM-PAL, in order to make sure that the
list is updated, the user should click on the
"Read program list" button. This makes the
unit carry out another scan and so loads all
the services that are available at that
moment.
Device test:
When the scan is activated in the supervi-
sion window of the module (or if the scans
are activated in the main screen) the modu-
les show the following information:
- The firmware version of the unit
- The virtual LEDS are activated. These
show the same information as the LEDS on
the remote control:
Example for the TDT (fig. 25):
· Input signal/noise ratio
· QPSK demodulator lock
· QAM modulator lock
- The different values measured by the
module are displayed:
Example for the TDT (fig. 25):
· Input signal error rate (CBER)
· Input S/N ratio (input C/N)
· QAM symbol rate.
