6.2.- Automatic headend scan
Automatic headend scan
The headend controlling device can carry
out an automatic scan. The device looks for
the devices that are stored in its database to
check that they are all available.
These devices have been previously loaded
with the command "Load modules connec-
ted to the CDC".
Figure 17 shows the results of a quick scan
of the headend. From the figure, it is possi-
ble to see that the address number 24, if it is
in the database of the headend controlling
device (active), it has not been found using
the scan due to a problem in the device.
As has been mentioned in previous para-
graphs, the parameters of the headend devi-
ces can be updated and monitored by the
Headend Control system.
To do so, the user must double click on the
device and and a dialogue window will
appear. Figures 26 to 34 show configuration
windows for the different controllable ele-
