DETAILED SET UP

Unpack and Assemble the Unit
1. Open the box and remove top packing material and
any literature. Lift out and open the plastic bag
containing the unit. Remove the remote control
on top, then lift out humidifier top and bottom
sections. From under the base, remove the plas-
tic bag holding the adapter power cord, and the
stryrofoam block holding the demineralization
cartridge. Using the black front section as a means
to align the sections, position the top portion onto
the base.
2. Remove and unwrap the power cord with the AC
adapter from the small box.
3. Install the power cord by attaching it to the small
socket on the base, and plugging the other end
into the wall socket. The small power symbol
located at the top of the display lights up on the
panel, and beeps will sound to indicate the unit
has power.

Locate Place for Your Humidifier

NOTE: Due to the size, shape, and weight of the
full water reservoir, we recommend finding the best
location for the humidifier first and using a pitcher
to fill the tank while it is on the base. (See "Tips for
Positioning" in margin).
NOTE: Ultrasonic humidifiers release a fine mist that
can cause condensation on surfaces. Please take pre-
cautions to protect any surface where water damage
could occur due to condensation.
Position the PILLAR in the area where humidity is
most needed. We do not recommend operating the
unit in a closed room for an extended period of time
to avoid the build up of condensation.
Consider the points listed in the "Tips for Positioning" in
the margin, to identify the best locations for the humidifier.

Fill Reservoir

Demineralization Cartridge:
The PILLAR's design requires water to flow through
a small water release port. A demineralization
cartridge (included) is highly recommended to
ensure proper flow of water and best operation.
Before filling the reservoir, install the demineralization
cartridge: first remove it from the styrofoam
packing, then screw it right on top of the water
derelease port inside the water tank.

• On a level surface.
• Avoid aiming mist directly
at young children, pets, or
electronics.
• Not too near walls, ceilings
or wooden surfaces that
could be damaged by wa-
ter condensation.
• Not next to a thermostat or
hot air vent.
• Not by a window (to avoid
condensation).
• Do not aim mist toward
electronics.
