DETAILED SET UP
Unpack unit
1. Open the box and remove any packing material.
2. Remove any packaged literature on top.
Locate the remote control and set aside. Lift unit up
and out of carton.
3. The NOVA is preassembled and is ready to fill.

Fill Reservoir

CAUTION: Ensure power is OFF before filling.
NOTE: Follow cautions on page five regarding
additives to water.
The NOVA has been designed for easy filling. The
total tank capacity is approximately 1.2 gallons.
1. Lift the lid, and fill the tank at the sink or from a
pitcher.
CAUTION: Do not allow water to enter the AIR INTAKE vent.
2. Take note of the MAX notation inside the tank. Do
not fill the reservoir above that level.
3. If you wish to add essential oils before starting the
humidifier, see "Essential Oil Diffuser" under Addi-
tional Features on page 8.
4. When the NOVA is out of water, the small droplet
icon on the control panel with the X in it, illuminates
in red to indicate it needs refilling. The unit goes into
standby mode.

Locate Place for Your Humidifier
NOTE: Ultrasonic humidifiers release a fine mist that
can cause condensation on surfaces. Please take pre-
cautions to protect any surface where water damage
could occur due to condensation.
Once the NOVA is assembled and filled up, position
the humidifier in the room or area where humidity is
most needed. We do not recommend operating the
unit in a closed room for an extended period of time
to avoid the build up of condensation.
Consider the points listed below to identify the best
locations for the humidifier.

Tips for Positioning
• On a level surface.
• Avoid aiming mist di-
rectly at young children,
pets, or electronics.
• Not too near wall, ceiling
or wooden surfaces that
could be damaged by
water condensation.
• Not next to thermostat or
hot air vent.
• Not by window (to avoid
condensation).
• Do not aim mist toward
electronics.
