• The components must be placed in a 0.5% solution of Korsolex
Cleaner and approx. 50°C warm water, and cleaned thoroughly for
5 minutes.
• The components are then placed in a 4% disinfectant solution of Kor-
®
solex basic for 15 minutes.
• Then thoroughly rinse the nebuliser components under hygienically tested
water and leave them to dry completely on a clean, dry and absorbent sur-
face (for at least 4 hours).
Possible alternative: Chemical-thermal disinfection
• Place the nebuliser components in the instrument disinfector.
• Add a suitable cleaner/disinfectant and select the 60°C programme.
Storage
• Between uses, wrap the nebuliser in a clean, lint-free cloth and keep it in a
dry, dust-free place protected from contamination.
6.4.2 Sterilisation
After cleaning/disinfection, pack the dismantled nebuliser in sterilisation
packaging (disposable sterilisation packaging, e.g., foil/paper sterilisation
bags). The sterilisation packaging must conform to DIN EN ISO 11607-1 and
be suitable for steam sterilisation. Then sterilise the nebuliser using the fol-
lowing sterilisation procedure:

Sterilisation temperature: 121°C (to be maintained for at least 20 min.) or
This procedure has been validated according to DIN EN ISO 17665 as well
as DGKH guidelines for the validation and routine monitoring of sterilisation
processes using damp heat for medical devices.
Storage
Keep the sterilised nebuliser in a dry, dust-free place protected from
contamination.
6.4.3 Care of tubes
• In the case of visible condensation in the compressed air tube (2) and/or in
the bolus tube (6), detach both from the nebuliser and proceed as
described in Chapter 6.3.5.
• Replace the PARI SINUS tube system (Part no. 041B4570) with every
change of patient, or if the tube looks dirty.
