USING THE VACUUM DEVICE
(SEE DRAWING PAGE 10-2)
Press the pedal "POS. 86" to get vacuum at the
table.
Vacuum is necessary to fix trouser creases and
to
finish
garments
materials (cotton etc) or garments that are very
creased.
USING THE HEATED ARM
FORMS
(SEE DRAWINGS PAGE 10-2)
Proceed in the following way:
a) For heated forms turn on the switch "POS.
85" and wait for some minutes before to use
it, to allow it to heat. A thermostat inside the
form controls the heating temperature.
b) Rotate the arm form that you want to use by
placing it in the work position.
SPOTTING DEVICE
(SEE DRAWINGS PAGE 10-2)
Proceed as follows:
a) Open the globe valve fitted on the external
compressor thus allowing air to flow from
the compressor to the apparatus.
b) Fill up with clear water the small tank "POS.
99".
c) For spotting operations use the proper
spotting arm; the arm in rest position is not
connected to the vacuum, the connection is
made by swinging the arm and putting it in
working position.
DIRECTIONS AND ADVISES FOR
SPOTTING

a) The spotting guns must be used very close
to the cloth (at about ½ cm) to get the
maximum penetration of water/air mixture
into the fibre at a pressure of 8-10bar (116-
145 psi); this action should remove any
foreign matter from the cloth.
b) Spot removing depends to the mechanical
action
Therefore water should be used sparingly,
which also helps the drying. The lever of the
gun should be depressed gradually to obtain
a spot-on water/air combination set to the
stain
rotating the gun action so that removal
,
may be easier.
c) For all difficult or old spots, a neutral soap
should be used to help with the spot
removal.
d) For
particular
identified (ex. blood and paint spots) use the
specified products supplied by the qualified
suppliers.
e) The drying air gun should always be
brought into contact with the cloth to allow
the maximum penetration of air without
losses.
f)
For grease spots the solvent spray gun
should be used as indicated above, but
using the gun with solvent.
SHUTTING DOWN OF THE
a) A few minutes before stopping work, turn off
the boiler by "POS. 57"
working until the steam is finished.
b) Turn off the main isolator switch.
c) Turn off the gate valve of the main water
supply.
d) When the boiler pressure has dropped
below approximately 1 bar (approximately
15 psi), open the discharge gate valve
"POS. 17", empty the boiler and then close
the gate valve. Turn the boiler on again,
run in fresh water. As soon as the pump has
stopped, turn the boiler off without draining it.
N.B.: it is advisable to carry out the procedure in
d) every evening to ensure a long and efficient
use;
boiler life and to avoid the siphoning-back of
water.
