The boiler is fuelled by pellets. These are little, cylindrical
shapes of pressed wood whose combustion is controlled
electronically.
The pellet hopper (A) is located alongside the boiler. The
hopper is fi lled through the cover in the top.
The fuel (pellets) is taken from the hopper (A) and, by
means of a screw (B) driven by a gear motor (C), is car-
ried by a second screw (D) driven by a second gear motor
(E) and then carried into the burner (F).
The pellets are lit by hot air produced by an electrical
heating element and sucked into the burner by a smoke
extractor fan (G).
The combustion air is drawn from the room (where there
must be an air intake) by the fume extractor (G).
The fumes produced by combustion are extracted from
the combustion chamber by the same extractor fan (F) and
expelled from the vent (G) located in the lower rear of the
boiler.
The ash falls under the burner where there is a tray with a
device which transports them into another large removable
tray (H).
The steel combustion chamber with refractory burner is
closed at the front by a blind door.
The entire boiler and door are insulated which makes it
more effi cient so that the water hot water produced by the
boiler is not dissipated in the place of installation but is
conveyed only to the hydraulic system.
The boiler is designed to function with closed expansion
tank (I) and pressure valve, both of which are built in.
In addition, the boiler is equipped with the innovative
E-Brusher system that allows the boiler to operate without
requiring cleaning, even for an entire season.
Fuel quantity, smoke extraction/combustion air supply and
pump activation are regulated by the control board which
is

equipped with Leonardo
software to achieve high com-
bustion
effi ciency and low emissions.
It also has a two-pole socket to connect an external graph-
ic panel
(supplied as standard)
Edilkamin integrated control unit).
A touch control panel (L) is installed above the door for
the management and display of all operational phases.
A serial port is found at the back of the boliler (cable:
code 640560) to be connected to devices that allow remote
ignition (e.g. remote telephone, local thermostat).
Operating modes
(for further details, please see page 76)
The temperature of the water required in the system is set
via the panel (standard recommendation 70° C) and the
boiler manually or automatically modulates the power to
maintain or reach this temperature.
The Eco function can be enabled in small systems (the
boiler shuts down and goes on again according to the
water temperature required).

®
System for cleaning residue in the crucible from pellet
combustion.
This is a completely innovative system patented by
Edilkamin that exploits the dual action of the pellet feed
screw.
The system is so effective that it allows even months of au-
tonomous operation without manual interventions to clean
the crucible.
