FIXING THE ANCHORING PLATE

Position the plate in the road recess previously prepared.
Make sure the underground electrical cables are not
live. Also check they have not been altered. Ensure the
cables pass through the slot positioned in the middle of
the plate (fi g. 8).
Fix the plate to the asphalt bed with some concrete.
!
Warning
Make sure the concrete cannot obstruct the threaded
holes positioned at the four corners of the plate and
used to fi x the barrier body.
4.4

FIXING THE BARRIER BODY

When the concrete has hardened, proceed in installing
the barrier body as follows:
-
Remove the plastic plug positioned on the upper face
(fi g. 9) and screw an eyebolt in the threaded hole.
-
Raise the equipment by means of a crane after
having anchored the hook to the screwed-on eyebolt.
Position the equipment above the anchoring plate and
check the holes of the two parts are coaxial.
-
Assemble plate and barrier body by tightening the
screws provided.
-
Refi t the plastic plug to prevent water infi ltration.
!
Warning
Keep at a safe distance from the barrier body during
hoisting and handling.
Make sure the electrical cables coming out from the
foundation plate do not lay between plate and barrier
body before tightening the screws and ensure the
barrier body enters the plate holes correctly.
-
Open the door on the barrier body and remove the air
vent screw from the plug (fi g. 10) positioned on the
upper fl ange of the hydraulic control unit to make the
system work at atmospheric pressure.
Information
Keep the screw in a safe place for future transports.

MOUNTING THE BARRIER BEAM

When the structure has been fi xed to the ground, fi t
the fl ange (fi g.11 pos. A) to the spline shaft by setting
the long side to vertical position.
Lock the fl ange to the shaft using the special centring
washer (fi g.11 pos. B) and the relevant screw (fi g.11
pos. C). Tighten the screw using some medium-
strength thread-locker.
Position the barrier fi xing plate (fi g.11 pos. D) on to
the fl ange (fi g.11 pos. A) and start screwing (fi g.11
pos. E) without tightening.
Fit the rear terminal part of the beam (fi g.11 pos. F)
to the recess formed by the fl ange (fi g.11 pos. A)
and the plate (fi g.11 pos. D) while holding the beam
in vertical position.
Tighten the screws (fi g.11 pos. E) to lock the barrier.
