CAUTION!
Risk of equipment damage.
Use only Nederman original spare parts and accessories.
Before every use:
Check Vacuum Blaster for damage.
Check the condition and function of the installed deadman handle or remote
control system.
After every use:
Check the silencer of the decompression valve, see figure 4 item 2, for damage and
clean it. Unscrew and empty the silencer.

Routine inspection and service

Follow the list in. Appendix B: Maintenance checklist to routinely inspect, and repair or
replace worn and damaged parts on the inside and outside of the product.
NOTE! Vacuum Blaster is to be periodically checked according to local regulations.
6.2

Maintenance and repairs

6.2.1

Main air valve

See figure 5 item 1.
Replace / check the membrane:
1.
Remove the four bolts and nuts of the cap.
2.
Loosen the nut on the shaft. Hold the shaft with a screwdriver.
3.
Remove the membrane together with the upper and lower membrane plate.
4.
Take the two plates from each other and place a new membrane.
5.
Make sure the spring is situated over the nut when putting everything back.
Replace the valve disc and/or O-ring:
1.
Remove the cap and membrane as above. The retainer bushing is now visible.
2.
Loosen the bushing using a screwdriver and hammer.
3.
Remove the retainer bushing.
4.
Shaft and valve disc can be taken out. Replace the valve disc and/or O-ring.
5.
Make sure the spring is situated over the nut when putting everything back.

Decompression valve

See figure 4 item 1 for location of the decompression valve.
