LUBRICATING THE CHAIN
Lubricate the chain (1) following these instructions.
CAUTION*: Never use grease to lubricate the
chain. Grease helps to accumulate dust and
mud, which act as abrasive and help to rapidly
wear out the chain, the front and rear sprock-
ets.
Washing the chain without OR
Wash using either oil or diesel oil. When using gaso-
line or tricloroetilene, clean and lubricate the chain
to prevent oxidation.
Alternatively, use specific sprays for chains without
OR rings.

Lubricating the chain without OR
After drying, lubricate the chain with a specific Mo-
lybdenum Disulfide lubricant or with an high viscos-
ity motor oil heated to make it fluid.
Note *: As an alternative, you can use suitable
spray lubricants.
CAUTION*: The chain lubricant shall NEVER get
in contact with the tyres or the rear brake
disc.

Chain guide roller, chain guide eye, chain
Check the wear of the above-mentioned elements
and replace them when necessary.
CAUTION*: Check the chain guide alignment,
and remember that a bent element can cause
chain early wear. In this case, chain might un-
wrap from the sprocket.
