USE THIS HOLE
FOR CENTER
SECTION ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
General assembly - loosely assemble center section (page 1); loosely install side brackets on vehicle (this page);
install center section assembly (page 2-3); tighten all fasteners to proper specifications (page 1)
1. Raise side brackets into position, aligning hole 3 in the bracket with the rear most existing weldnut.
2. Loosely install supplied 12mm X 1.75 X 40mm hex bolt, ½" lock washer, and ½" flat washer into weldnut.
3. Using the side bracket as a guide, mark the center location of hole 1.
4. Lower side bracket by removing the hex bolt, lock washer, and flat washer from step 2.
5. With a center punch and hammer, tap the center mark from step 3. Using a 1-⅛" hole saw, drill an access
hole into the bumper bracket.
6. Use pull wire to install a ½" X 2" carriage bolt and ¼" bolt plate into the drilled access hole in the bottom of
the bumper bracket from step 5. then pull carriage bolt back through the access hole which will be used to
install side bracket.
7. Raise side bracket into position, by placing pull wire through hole 1 in the bracket and aligning hole 3 with
the rear most existing weldnut.
8. Loosely install supplied 12mm X 1.75 X 40mm hex bolt, ½" lock washer, and ½" flat washer into weldnut.
9. Remove pull wire from the ½" X 2" carriage bolt and loosely install ½" lock washer, ½" flat washer, and ½"
hex nut onto the carriage bolt. Repeat steps 1 thru 9 for other side.
10. Install center section per Side Bracket Location 2. (See page 2.)
11. Tighten fasteners to proper torque. (See page 1)
