5.3.1 Central heating connection
with a load pump
This installation is highly recommended. The load pump ensures a high
flow rate in the exchanger for high performance.
It can also be controlled by a thermostat to control the load pump
(supplied as an option - package BE 4) fitted on the water heater,
enabling the domestic hot water temperature to be controlled.
The connection to the central heating installation is made according to the
diagram, using pipes with a minimum diameter of 1/2", and inserting an
isolation valve.

53 EA-type protection assembly comprising a stop valve and a class A
controllable non-return valve (standard P 43-007)
54 YA-type pressure break (domestic water regulations)
55 Sealed safety valve calibrated to 7 bar
57 Domestic hot water outlet
Note
It may be beneficial to replace the assembly (53*, 9*, 55*, 17*)
with a type 30 diaphragm safety unit (Figures 7 & 8) bearing the
NF mark (standard NF D 36-401), on condition that the following
is adhered to:
- the safety unit and its connection to the tank must be the
same diameter as the cold water supply pipe used in the tank's
domestic water circuit (at least 3/4"),
- the level of the safety unit must be below that of the cold water
inlet (Figure 9),
- the drainage pipe must have a continuous and sufficient
gradient, and its cross section must be at least equal to the
cross section of the opening of the safety unit outlet (to prevent
the flow of water being hindered if the pressure is too high).
