Possible cause
The oven is not completely
plugged into the electrical outlet.
A fuse in your home may be
blown or a circuit breaker may
have tripped.
The oven is still too hot from
previous use.
Incomplete service wiring.
Power outage.
The light is loose or defective.
The switch operating the light is
broken.
The meat has been placed too
close to the element.
The meat has not been properly
prepared.
Grease has built up on oven
surfaces.
The oven rack has been
positioned incorrectly or is not
level.
The oven temperature was
improperly set.
Solution
Make sure the electrical plug
is inserted into a live, properly
grounded outlet.
Replace the fuse or reset the
circuit breaker.
Allow the oven to cool.
Call for service.
Check to see if the house lights
will turn on. If necessary, call
your local electric company for
service.
Tighten or replace the lamp.
Call for service if the door light
does not turn on.
Call for service.
Lower the oven rack. Preheat the
broil element for searing.
Remove excess fat from the
meat. Cut away fatty edges that
may curl, leaving the lean intact.
Run a self-cleaning cycle; clean
the oven chamber frequently to
avoid grease buildup.
