Close the housing carefully and tighten all the
fastening screws before starting to use the
multimeter again.

9.3 | Changing the battery

Before opening the meter to change the battery, first unplug the
test leads and set the rotary switch to "Off". Then use a suitable
Philips screwdriver to unscrew and remove the screws from the
rear of the housing and lift off the lower half of the housing.
Fit a new battery of the same type (9 V alkaline), making sure that
the terminals are the right way round.
Close the housing carefully and tighten all the fastening screws
before starting to use the multimeter again.

10 | Troubleshooting

Fault
The multimeter is
not functioning.
The display does
not change.

11 | Warranty

This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The
warranty period begins on the date of purchase. The warranty
does not cover normal wear and tear, use for anything other
than the intended purpose, damage caused by an accident or by
modifications or attempted repairs by unauthorised persons, or
products which have been modified technically.

Is the multimeter switched on? The
selector switch may be between two
settings.
Is the battery flat? If so, replace it.
Have you activated the Hold function?
Have you used the wrong input jacks?
Is a fuse defective?
