6.2 Control mode

The control mode is shown in (Fig. 2):
Variable differential pressure (Δp-v): The differential pressure at maxium
speed is set via the red button on the face of the controller. The pump's shut-
off (zero flow) head is ½ the max. speed set point (i.e: if pump is set to 10' it's
shut-off head is 5'). During operation the pump's differential head follows a line
between set point and shut-off heads, self regulating the flow and head as
required by the system.
The pump automatically responds to the night setback of the heating system
by an electronic evaluation from an integrated temperature sensor. During
conditions of extreme, continous low system heat requirements the pump will
automatically switch to minimum speed. On renewed heat demand the pump
will switch back to the previously adjusted setpoint level. The night setback
control can be switched off (Fig. 1, Item 2, see page 5):
auto Night setback ON, pump modulates at the preselected setpoint value

NOTE: In the case of insufficient heating/cooling capacity of the installation
(too low a heat transfer) confirm whether the night setback control is on. In this
case it must be switched off.
