14. TROUBLESHOOTING THE PRESSURE COOKER
Before you begin cooking, it is important that you read this detailed instructions manual and make
sure you understand how to operate the pressure cooker. If you are unsure about using your pressure
cooker or the safety systems, do not use it and contact your retailer or MAGEFESA.
For your reference, here we mention some practical tips and some common problems you
may experience using a pressure cooker:
POSSIBLE REASONS:
1.- Pressure cooker lid it is not correctly
closed.
2.- Silicone gasket is not in place, or is dirty
or worn.
3.- There is not enough liquid inside the
pressure cooker.
CASE: STEADY STREAM OF STEAM IS RELEASED FORM THE REGULATING VALVE
POSSIBLE REASONS:
1.- The burner is too high.
2.- The regulating valve is dirty.
3.- The regulating valve need to be
replaced.
4.- The regulating valve is not in the correct
position (I or II).

CASE: PRESSURE DOES NOT BUILD UP
SUGGESTIONS:
1.- Open again, and carefully proceed to
close the lid according with section 10.
2.- Check the silicone gasket is clean and
correctly located.
3.- Check the gasket is not worn. We
recommend to change the gasket yearly
considering regular use.
SUGGESTIONS:
1.- Lower the burner or hot plate . If electrical
residuary heat may be enough to cook
the food.
2.- Check the regulating valve and clean it
following the section 13 directions. 3.-
Check the regulating valve is in the right
position I or II .
3.- If after clean and verify the regulating
valve is not obstructed, the malfunction
persists, proceed to change the regulating
