3 Operation
1 At the start of a cruise.
• Check the level of the cooling liquid in the filler/expansion tank.
• Check that the switch on the control handle is in the 'Off' position.
• Put the handle in the 'Neutral' position.
• Switch the (battery) main switch on.
• Turn the switch on the control handle to the 'On' position.
• The light on the handle will now illuminate.

2 During a cruise
Operate the handle.
Move the handle from the 'Neutral' position to the 'Ahead' or 'Astern' po-
sition; the motor will now start running at a very low speed. Move the
handle further toward the end of its travel to increase the motor speed.
When the handle is moved from maximum forward to maximum re-
verse, or vice-versa, the motor will stop and then immediately reverse
direction of rotation.
