Alarm relay (R1)
The alarm relay (R1) is normally used to trigger a time lapse VCR into alarm record mode. The relay contact can be configured
to trigger in a number of different ways:
Close
Relay closes on alarm (default).
Open
Relay opens on alarm.
Always closed
Relay always stays closed (relay will only open if power is removed).
Alarm record
An alarm can change the way in which the multiplexer normally records, the available options are:
Interleave
Alarmed cameras are recorded more often than non-alarmed cameras by inserting additional images from
the alarmed cameras into the record sequence (default).
Exclusive
Records images only from alarmed cameras.
Unchanged
Alarmed cameras do not affect the recording sequence.
When the alarm is cleared the multiplexer will return to its normal recording sequence.
Alarm message
On alarm the word "ALM" is normally displayed on the Main monitor or Spot monitor displays. This provides an additional
prompt that alarm images are being viewed. If required the alarm message can be switched off. The options are:
On
Alarm notification is displayed on screen (Default).
Off
Alarm notification is not displayed on screen.
Note: If the Main or Spot monitors displays are set to be "unchanged" then the alarm message will not be displayed on the
corresponding monitor.
