TV & SAT LEVEL METER
1 GENERAL
1.1
Description
In one single small size equipment, signal level meter MC-360B integrates all
functions required for installing, surveying and servicing TV signal distribution systems,
whether individual or collective, in FM, TV and SATELLITE bands.
As S band is covered too, this unit can be used in cable television (CATV)
fittings as well.
In addition to an accurate level measurement in the 48 to 856 MHz band, signal
demodulation is available both in AM and FM and allows it to be heard.
SAT TV frequency range (950 to 2050 MHz) includes a detection function that
greatly advances searching of the parabola proper position, as it is not frequency
selective and any signal in a covered band is detected.
Functions like variable tone depending on the level of signal received, makes
signal maxima easy to be searched by hearing them, thus working with free hands is
possible.
Frequency tuned is read digitally, thus giving ease in operations and accuracy.
The SAT TV external unit (LNB) may be powered at will, through the own
equipment generated voltage, or through the receiver voltage. That receiver may be
used at the same time together with the meter, to watch quality of the signal received.
On the VHF and UHF bands it is also possible to power the device connected to the
input.
