5. MAINTENANCE
5.1 Routine maintenance performed by users
WARNING! The procedures described below must be carried while the machine is not in operation and is
disconnected from the power supply.
It is advisable to carry out the following operations at least every two months:
a)
Pressure safety device:
the pressure safety device must be operated regularly to ensure that it is not clogged and to remove any limescale
deposits.
b)
External casing:
clean using a damp cloth soaked in soapy water. Do not use aggressive detergents, insecticides or toxic products.
5.2 Water heater routine check-up
With the aim of reducing possible faults to a minimum and to ensure that appliance operation is perfectly efficient,
i.e. maximum performance with minimum operating costs, it is advisable to let qualified personnel carry out a general
check-up on the appliance at least every two years. Routine maintenance operations to be carried out by technical
assistance centres are described in chapter 8.3.
5.3 Technical assistance
Before contacting the Technical Assistance Centre in the event of a possible fault, check whether the malfunction is
not due to other causes such as a temporary power failure or a water shortage.
Only original spare parts must be used and any repairs must be carried out exclusively by qualified personnel. Failure
to comply with the above-mentioned recommendations may jeopardise the appliance's safety and void the manufacturer's
liability.
Ariston Thermo S.p.A. has a network of Technical Assistance Centres that can be contacted by dialling the
Universal Number
Before dialling the number, ensure that you have the water heater documentation on hand and expect to provide
information on the following: appliance serial number and model (consult the data label located near the hydraulic
connections), warranty documents (if relevant), brief description of the technical problem.
