DIN head unit provision

1. Ford Mustang: Mount the radio
housing to the sub-dash with (2) 7 mm
hex head screws previously removed.

Mercury Cougar: Snap the radio
housing into the sub-dash. (Figure B)
2. Locate the factory wiring harness in the
dash. Metra recommends using the
proper mating adapter from Metra or
AXXESS. Re-connect the negative
battery terminal and test the unit for
proper operation.
3. Mount the rear support bracket to the
back of the DIN cage. (Figure C)
4. Slide the cage into the mounted radio
housing and secure by bending the
metal locking tabs down. (Figure C)
5. Slide the aftermarket head unit into the
mounted cage until secure. (Figure C)
6. Reassemble dash in reverse order
of disassembly.
