If it is necessary to limit the descent speed, for example in the case of tight spaces or
other obstacles it is possible to create extra friction; the configurations can also be ap-
plied to personally-fitted equipment as follows:
Up to 200 kg:
No extra turn
NotE!
do not use an extra turn around the lanyard housing for weights under
200 kg as the extra friction on the lanyard feed reduces the descent speed
unnecessarily.
in order to speed-up the evacuation – strive to evacuate two persons at a time.
An assisting colleague (Rescuer) can be lowered together with a person in distress/
injured person. The rescuer and person in distress to be evacuated must be both firmly
attached to ResQ DD.
The persons using the equipment ought to be qualified to be able to conduct the evacu-
ation in a safe manner, and in accordance with the instructions and applicable legal
requirements.
