safEty INstructIoNs

These user instructions are the manufacturer's (CRESTO) basic directions for correct use
and inspection of:
Use of the equipment must meet all legal requirements and be conducted in compliance
with the manufacturer's specific training programme.
1.1 The equipment is exclusively dimensioned for rescue and evacuation in accord-
ance with the stated technical data (Chapter 2), the manufacturer's (CRESTO's)
directions and relevant technical standards. Particular attention must be given to
Chapter 2, directions for Safe Working Load (SWL).
1.2 All other use, for example, contracting work. Is prohibited and will invalidate all un-
dertakings and legal responsibilities between the user and manufacturer. May only
be used for training purposes with approved fall protection systems as back-up!
1.3 Service, inspections, repairs and training must be carried out in compliance with,
inter alia, EN 365:2004 Chapter 4.4, 4.5, 4.6 and aNsI Z 359.1-2007 inter alia chap-
ters 6.1.2, 6.2.1, 7.3.
1.4 Point 1.3 concerns the requirements of the standards that the measures stated
may only be carried out by the manufacturer's (CRESTO's) own personnel with
documented qualifications, or sub-contractor's personnel whose qualifications have
been verified by the manufacturer.
1.5 In compliance with applicable regulations and standards for health and safety suit-
able knowledge is required for safe and responsible use of the equipment (refer
1.4).
1.6 Persons using the equipment must be in good health and good physical condition.
In the event of known sickness the user must obtain information from their physi-
cian regarding any possible consequences thereof, as conditions such as cardiac
complaints, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, balance problems etc.
may compromise safety when the equipment is used.
1.7 Use of the equipment must be supported by the company's own procedures for
prevention of accidents at work.
1.8 Parts of the equipment may be electrically conductive and may present a risk of
fatal injury and of damage to other equipment when used in environments where
