Settings for the "Relay" function (SET-menu)

Where a fault-indicating relay and a pacing relay are installed you can reprogram these using the "Relay"
function.
The RELAY menu is only accessible if the timer type is set to "complex" (see section 1. 3). When the RELAY
menu in the "simple" timer type is not accessible the relays still respond, but as set in "complex" mode.
Allocation:
Relay 1
Relay with mechanical contacts*
Relay 2
Semiconductor relay*
* Technical data see "ProMinent
You can set individual relays to be triggered by an event to be enabled by the timer, a warning signal, a fault
signal or a pump stroke:
Settings in RELAY
menu
TIMER (timer)
WARN (warning)
ERROR (fault)
PULSE (pacing)
Tab. 7: Relay response types

* see "ProMinent
gamma/ L operating instructions manual", section "Troubleshooting"
You can also specify how respective relays respond when the switch status of the timer is ON. You can
influence the setting NORMAL/INVERS:
NORMAL = N/O
INVERS
= N/C
IMPORTANT
If you want to switch the timer type from "complex" to "simple", first set the relay to ON. The
"Relay" function settings option then disappears. The relays continue to operate, but as set in the
"Relay" function.
The settings option for "Relay" function is always present, irrespectively of whether relays are
fitted. On the other hand, the actions "rel. 1" and "rel 1. 2" are only present if the relay is allocated
to the timer.
