Select the „i-TTL" or „i-TTL BL" mode (see 5.2).

3.3 Displays in camera viewfinder

3.3.1 Flash readiness indication in camera
viewfinder
When flash readiness is established an indicator on
the flash unit lights up and a corresponding signal is
transmitted to the camera via the adapter. When the
camera's shutter release is lightly pressed the flash
ready smbol
indicating that a flash will be fired for the next picture.
The flash unit will not be triggered if a picture is
taken before the flash-ready symbol

3.3.2 Correct exposure confirmation in camera

Flash readiness indication in the camera viewfin-
der additionally provides exposure verification after
shutter release. There are three possibilities:
- The indicator continues to light:
This confirms correct exposure. In addition flash
readiness is retained.
- The indicator is extinguished:
This also confirms correct exposure but flash rea-
diness is no longer retained.
- The indicator flashes:
This indicates insufficient exposure. It may also
signalize improper settings on some cameras (e.g.
sensitivity not suitable for TTL flash mode, or
„M25O" or „B" settings).
