The headlightis on wheneverthe engineis running,

WARNING: Never use your handto clear a clogged
chute. Shut off engine and remain behind handles
until all moving parts have stopped before unclog-

Before
Starting
Engine
Oil
The enginewas shippedwith oil in the engine,Checkoil levelbefore
eachoperationto ensureadequateoil in the engine,Forfurther
instructions,referto thesteps on page 15,
1, Removethedipstickfrom the oil fill,
2, Checkand makesurethat the levelof oil is up to the FULLmarkon
the dipstick,
3. If the oil levelis notup to FULL,pourfresh oil slowlythroughthe
plug,Replaceoil fill dipstickand checkoil levelagain,
Gas
WARNING:Gasoline is flammable; use caution
when handling or storing it.
WARNING: Do not fill fuel tank while the snow
thrower is running, when it is hot or when it is in an
enclosed area.
WARNING: Keep your snow thrower away from any
open flame or an electrical spark and do not smoke
while filling the fuel tank.

cleanand free from rust or otherforeignparticles,
3, Alwaysfill the fuel tank outdoorsand usea funnelor spout to

4, Fillfuel tank with clean,fresh,unleadedgrade automotive gasoline,
5, Neverfill the fuel tank completely,Fillthe tank to within 1/2" from
the top to providespace for expansion of fuel
6, Makesureto wipeoff anyspilledfuel beforestartingthe engine,
7, At the end of the iob,emptythe fuel tank if the snowthroweris not
going to be usedfor 30 daysor longer,Seeoff=season storage
instructionson page20,
To Start Engine

is standing near the snow thrower while starting or
operating. Do not operate this snow thrower unless
the chute assembly has been properly installedand
is secured.
