3.3.2 Count Mode (Cont.)
APW Optimization
Since the weight of each piece varies slightly,
APW Optimization may be used to increase the
accuracy of the count.
APW Optimization automatically adjusts the Average Piece Weight when a sample
size between one and three times the original sample size is placed on the pan.
The display shows APW.OPT each time the APW is optimized.

is On.
3.3.3 Percent Mode
Use this mode to measure the weight of a sample as a percentage of a reference
weight. Refer to Section. 3.5.3 to set Percent Mode On.
To access the Percent Mode, press Mode until
the display shows PERCENT.
Establish a Reference Weight
Each time a new sample is used as the 100% reference, a new Reference Weight
must be established. The Reference Weight is stored in memory until replaced by a
new Reference Weight.
If a Reference Weight has already been
established, CLEAR REFERENCE (CLR.REF) is
displayed. Press No to use the previously saved
Reference Weight. Otherwise, press Yes to
establish a new Reference Weight.
To establish the Reference Weight, put a load
on the pan. Press Yes to accept and display
this weight. The Reference Weight is saved.
To abort the Reference Weight, press and
hold No.
Percent Weighing
Remove the Reference Weight and place the
load(s) to be compared to the reference weight
on the pan. The weight of each new load is
shown as a percentage of the Reference Weight.
